Evaluation of back school concepts
Structural evaluation of back school concepts
Aim: To develop and evaluate modern intervention programmes to promote back health.
Background: Back pain is a major burden on individuals such as populations and social systems (individually manageable burden of disease, direct and indirect costs). To prevent back pain, biopsychosocial factors must be taken into account (paradigm shift!). So far, multimodal concepts have been lacking!
Based on a structural evaluation of concepts for the prevention of back pain, an evidence-based, modular multimodal intervention concept was developed and implemented and evaluated in a randomized, controlled study.
