PEN
Policy Evaluation Network (PEN)
PEN is a multidisciplinary, international research project to systematically record and evaluate policies in Europe that directly or indirectly influence physical inactivity, unhealthy diets and sedentary behaviour, while taking into account existing health inequalities. The project involves 28 organisations from 8 different countries (Germany, France, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand and Poland).
FAU is involved in two of the project’s work packages: One of the aims of work package 1 is to produce an overview of policies to promote physical activity based on the WHO Policy Audit Tool for Physical Activity (HEPA PAT). Work package 2 supports, among other things, the establishment of a Europe-wide monitoring and surveillance system.
Detailed information on PEN and the contents of the individual work packages can be found on the project homepage: https://www.jpi-pen.eu
