Support association

The association bears the name “Förderverein für das Wassersportzentrum Pleinfeld der Friedrich- Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg” and is registered in the register of associations.

The purpose of the association is to promote and support recreational and competitive sports at Pleinfeld Water Sports Centre.

The support primarily includes the water sports training, further education and support of members of Friedrich Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg and the members of interested schools in the region on request.

The purpose of the association is realised in particular by:

• Collecting cash donations and donations in kind for the extension and maintenance of the Water Sports Centre, including the boat and material stocks.
• Supporting education, training and competition events.

The association exclusively and directly pursues charitable purposes as defined in the section on “Tax-privileged purposes” of the German Tax Code (Abgabenordnung). The association’s fund may be used exclusively for the purposes outlined in its statutes.

Members are charged annual dues. The amount of the annual fee is currently 50 €.

Need for donations

We urgently need further donations to maintain and expand our fleet of boats (sailboats, rowing boats, surfboards, tools/spare parts, boat covers, motor etc.) and to purchase and supplement teaching materials for practice (surf suits, life jackets, riding breeches etc.) and theory (computers, monitors, projectors, intercoms etc.).
